Register your own email
Use an email you can read. The website sends a sign-in link; the iPhone app emails a six-digit sign-in code. Verifying your email registers it automatically. Never share a sign-in code or use someone else’s account.
Joining the beta
Accept your Apple TestFlight invitation and install ScamBro. Sign in with the email named in your beta invitation. Enter your separate beta access code in the setup guide, also available from Settings. Claim it within seven days for 90 days of free access from redemption, with 100 checks per calendar month. There is no automatic charge.
Check your first message
Try the practice check. You can paste text, take a photo, or share a message to ScamBro. Remove private details first. During setup, choose whether ScamBro AI can process the messages, sender details and photos you submit using external AI service providers. Your choice is saved to your account for future checks; you can withdraw it in Settings.
Forward an email
In Settings or the setup guide, review forwarding consent and copy your forwarding address. Manually forward only the email you want checked, from your verified sign-in email. ScamBro does not read your inbox. Results appear in Inbox; Activity shows email delivery problems.
Understand the result
Likely scam means stop the risky action. Check before acting means a specific request needs confirmation through a trusted route. No clear signs means no clear warning signs were found in the supplied text; it does not confirm the sender.
During testing, include harmless and borderline messages too. Give feedback on results that seem wrong. Sharing text for review is optional.
